Reflections

April 4, 2008

In a few minutes I’ll leave for school to share chapels with the K-8 classrooms. I’ll share about a jellyfish Kelly found on the beach last week. She walked up to me with what looked like a clear, glass marble in her hand.

“Do you think it’s alive,” she asked?

“Where’d you get it,” I responded?

“On the sand right after a wave had receded.”

“We can find out.”

I took the little, nondescript jellyfish and placed it in a small pool beside a rock. And then I noticed an amazing transformation. The transparent ball cast a shadow. And the shadow showed design. And in the middle of the shadow was an intense, white light. It was beautiful.

We are at our most beautiful where we allow the love of God can shine through us in our ministry. To discover our element and to freely live there is a great joy.

“When that day arrives, the LORD their God will rescue his people, just as a shepherd rescues his sheep. They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown.” Zechariah 9:16
