Reflections

“Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!”

Five of us stood in a circle immersed in worship. The cave in which we stood provided better acoustics than any cathedral. The nearby surf capped the perfect setting.
“All Thy works shall praise Thy name in earth and sky and sea;”

A woman walked in from off the beach and stood to the side, listening to us sing. We asked about her and she said she lived in the area and came here regularly to sing praise songs.
“Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty!”

We let her know that we were three siblings with a couple of spouses gathered for our mother’s birthday. And while I keenly missed worshipping with my church family, I had no doubt whether I had been in God’s presence on this Sabbath morning.
“God in three persons, blessed Trinity!”

“The Sovereign LORD will show his justice to the nations of the world. Everyone will praise him! His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring, filled with young plants springing up everywhere.” Isaiah 61:11

Rejoicing in hope,
