Reflections

“Steve, Jesus did it.”

“He did what?”

“She forgave me. It was a complete turn around. I don’t even think we need to meet, but we’ll have lunch or something before Christmas.”

“This is awesome news! Jesus answered your prayer for reconciliation in under three hours. Thanks so much for the update.”

“I’m so glad I’m part of the prayer group. It took a while for me to warm up to it. But times like this make it worth leaving the house on cold mornings.”

Are you seeing answered prayer? Do you meet with people who bear your burdens and celebrate your victories? Do you have neighbors who seek you out for support and counsel?

Three years ago I helped start such a group with two other men in town. Currently nine community church leaders attend weekly and three more come when they can.
We rotate sharing a devotional thought, pray together for 30 minutes and then catch up on the week. We support each other in both our personal and professional lives.

This coming week we all remember a special gift that Jesus brought to us with His incarnation. He then grew up and personally ministered to those He met. I will also remember, thanks to this phone call, that He is still listening and responding.

Reach out and touch – and find someone to share life’s joy and journey with you. If you’d like help starting your own prayer or study or hobby group, let me know. I can help with ideas, support, resources and prayer.

“And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of his coming back again is drawing near.” Hebrews 10:25

Be at peace,
Pastor Steve
