Things I learned
in my 49th year.
• It’s easy to underestimate bacteria.
• Quiet mornings and still water amplify God’s voice.
• Nothing beats a daughter in college except a second daughter
in college.
• God’s strength is perfect in weakness
• Beware of distractions when lunch is on broil.
P• ure air, along with pure water, are easily taken for granted.
• Good vertebrae need good support. Bad vertebrae need even better
support.
• A friend’s success is sweet to share.
• If forced to choose between wisdom or energy, I’d take
wisdom every time – except on a couple of days off.
• A friend’s fault is an honor to bear.
• Growth contributes significantly to good life.
• Grey looks pretty good with black.
• All this time the Jones were trying to keep up with me.
• Worship is a great high.
• It’s easy to be mistaken for a Roman Catholic when you’re
standing next to the Virgin Mary.
• Loyal companionship is the source of life’s strengths.
• The greatest of these is love.
“So banish grief and pain, but remember that youth, with a whole
life before it, still faces the threat of meaninglessness. Don’t
let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor
him in your youth before you grow old and no longer enjoy living.”
Ecclesiastes 11:10; 12:1
Be at peace,
