Reflections

April 9, 2004
Welcome,

It’s Sabbath, AD 27. The worst day, no the next to the worst day in the history of the world. The disciples wait in fear and personal devastation. Everything they know has been eclipsed by what they have experienced and felt.

So 1,983 years later we take righteous pot shots at the disciples over their lack of faith and understanding only to find that at the next crisis in our lives we wonder how life can go on. We are so predictably human.

Praise God that His is so predictably Divine. Praise God that we now have the perspective of the resurrection. I know I’ve written on this before. But only because every year at this season I am reminded of the tremendous hope that is secured by Jesus’ life.

Death could not hold him back. There is no external force that can hold us back from our eternal destiny. Live with confidence. Live with assurance. Live with the risen Lord.

Under His Wings,
Pastor Steve
