At the north end of the Salton Sea is a wonderful labyrinth of canyons. One popular hike is up Painted Canyon and a couple of smaller connecting slot canyons.

The main adventure is in two side canyons.

Ladders make going up the first canyon much easier.

This really is a piece of cake.

Coming back the second canyon provides the biggest rush.
