About Us

Who are Seventh-day Adventists?

They're Christians who are members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

They use the name "Seventh-day" because they observe the Sabbath on Saturday, the seventh day of the week, as instructed by Christ and as written in the Ten Commandments.

They use the name "Adventists" because they believe in the Second Coming (Advent) of Christ.

Seventh-day Adventists are people who take great joy in living according to Christ's example of sacrifice and humility. Seventh-day Adventists:

  • Communicate their faith in Jesus Christ around the world in hundreds of languages.
  • Provide help for the needy, community services and disaster relief. Treat millions of people every year in Church hospitals and clinics around the globe.
  • Maintain a comprehensive Christian Educational System that includes elementary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities.
